Provide 20 Days of Emergency Care

FUNDED April 8 2013 – Thank You!

032813-ASPCA_DOGRAIDA massive investigation multi-state dog-fighting raid rescued nearly 100 dogs in March during a spring snowstorm. Every single one of these dogs needs special care and love — and they will get it due to the intervention of the ASPCA.

The ASPCA’s Field Investigations and Response (FIR) Team deploys throughout the year to rescue animal victims of abuse and neglect around the country at the request of local and federal law enforcement agencies. Their swift action and large-scale raids not only rescue hundreds of animals at a time but also help law enforcement build a case against abusers.

The rescued dogs were transferred to a temporary shelter to receive veterinary care from the ASPCA’s medical team, led by Dr. Sarah Kirk, medical director of ASPCA Field Investigations and Response.

Later the dogs will be moved to more permanent facilities including Wayside Waifs (Kansas City, MO); International Fund for Animal Welfare (Yarmouth Port, MA); Nebraska Humane Society (Omaha, NE); Humane Society of North Texas (Fort Worth, TX); Dallas Animal Services (Dallas, TX); Sumter Disaster Animal Response Team (Bushnell, FL); and Great Plains SPCA (Merriam, KS).

Your clicks here will help provide 20 days of care for a rescued dog. Want to do even more? Make a donation today at The Animal Rescue Site.
