Provide 60 Meals Each for 300 Orphans

FUNDED April 11 2013 – Thank You!

VillagePartners_Uganda_8195It takes so little to give a child the security of knowing that they won’t go hungry today. Your clicks here will help us give sixty meals to each and every one of 300 orphans under the care of he Robert H. Cooley Pediatric Clinic in Papoli, Uganda.

This clinic opened in 2010 to provide a safe haven for children suffering from HIV/AIDS and is just one of the many projects started by Village Partners International to help the residents of Papoli, Uganda, achieve a better way of life.

Most recently the clinic was connected to the national grid in December 2012, so caregivers now have even more resources to help these children orphaned by disease, poverty, and violence. “Electrical equipment and facilities will considerably improve the overall quality of care available to patients of the pediatric clinic,” wrote Samali Nyabeli in a recent newsletter.

GreaterGood.org’s contributions to programs to save children worldwide are made possible by the support of donors, shoppers, and clickers at The Hunger Site.

Cambodia’s economic growth is as high as it has ever been, yet the effects of this growth are really only seen in cities—with many rural areas being left behind. Three quarters of the rural economy is subsistence farming, with little value attached to education. For this reason, many are left without basic formal education or an understanding of basic socio-economic and environmental aptitude. You can help. Just $5 provides one student with a complete curriculum and materials for one life skills course. Join JWOC’s mission to provide free education to rural Cambodians by donating today!
