Put 25 Desks In An Afghan Classroom

FUNDED July 11 2013 – Thank You!

GreaterGood_March12_Razia_AfghanClassroom_rcd08312011Raiza Jan was named one of the “Top Heroes” of 2012 by CNN for her tireless campaign to help the girls of Afghanistan achieve an education. Even today, girls who go to school are subjected to attacks by those who wish to deny education to women. Reports of shootings, poisonings, and beatings remain far too common — but others, like Jan, are committed to making a difference.

Your click today will help outfit a classroom in Afghanistan with twenty-five desks and chairs. Before the opening of the Zabuli Education Center in Afghanistan, girls in area villages had no way to obtain even the most basic, formalized education.

Razia’s Ray of Hope was founded on the belief that education is essential for positive, peaceful change for current and future generations. Girls have an opportunity to learn and grow in a safe, nurturing environment, empowering them so that they may work toward brighter futures — in their own villages and beyond.

GreaterGood.org supports Razia’s Ray of Hope Foundation and others striving to increase the rate of literacy worldwide through contributions from The Literacy Site and people like you. Click today so children here and around the world receive the books and education that they need for a brighter future.

80,000 daily clicks funded this project – thank you!

With increased knowledge, research can assist in identifying habitats to protect, as the polar bear is completely reliant on this specialized living environment. By increasing the areas that are protected, polar bears will have larger spaces for denning and raising their cubs. You can help. Your donation will go toward research and the conservation of diminishing polar bear habitat. It is imperative to protect polar bear habitat now before it’s too late.

Feed 5 Orphaned Chimpanzee Babies For 3 Months: Completed April 25, 2016

75622

120,000 daily clicks funded this project – thank you!

Chimpanzees and gorillas in protected forests in Africa are shot down and butchered in the bushmeat trade, and the babies, who are too small to eat, are sold on the black market to be pets. In other areas, baby primates are stolen from the forest to be trafficked to China or the Middle East where they are sold as pets or put on exhibit in appallingly inhumane zoos. Thousands of chimpanzees and other primates who have been rescued as babies from the horrific wildlife trade now live at Pan African Sanctuary Alliance (PASA) member wildlife centers across Africa. You can help. Just $10 feeds a baby chimpanzee for one week.
