Train Two Vets For Disaster Reponse

FUNDED May 3 2013 – Thank You!

TeamRubicon_51712Team Rubicon helps veterans turn their existing skills in emergency medicine, risk assessment and mitigation, teamwork, and decisive leadership, into a new career managing more effective disaster response.

Following each disaster, people around the globe rally to donate money, food and supplies, but organizations don’t always have the volunteers or expertise to put these resources into action. Team Rubicon steps into this vacuum, uniting military veterans with experienced medical professionals to provide targeted and effective first response in crisis situations.

Through Team Rubicon’s Clay Hunt Fellowship, veterans receive training in business and nonprofit administration while applying their specialized skills and to help others in need. Upon completion of the program, these vets leave equipped with the tools to secure meaningful employment or to seek further education.

Since its creation in January 2010, Team Rubicon has impacted thousands of lives following natural disasters in Haiti, Chile, Burma, Pakistan, Sudan, and here at home, in New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Maryland, Missouri, and Alabama, among others.
