Provide Wool Hats for 130 Children in India: Completed May 29, 2015

With a population of over 8.5 million people, impoverished families migrate from their villages to Bangalore in search of work. Many live in tents, sleeping directly on the hard ground, without blankets. Temperatures in Bangalore can fall into the low 50s. These families do not have sufficient clothes or bedding–all they have for warmth is each other. Rippled Purpose distributes wool hats to children living in slums throughout Bangalore. Each wool hat helps keep a child warm until the arrival of spring.

Every year, staff from our partner organization, Rippled Purpose, distributes blankets to families living in the slums of Bangalore. Each wool blanket is large enough to provide warmth for one parent and two children.
