Give Nutritious Food to Help Abused Primates Recover

FUNDED June 26 2019 – Thank You!

Help abused primates find recovery and freedom.

Primates in protected forests in Africa are shot down and sold for bushmeat trade, and the babies are sold on the black market to be pets. Baby great apes and monkeys are stolen from the forest to be trafficked to China or the Middle East where they are sold as pets or put on exhibit at inhumane zoos. These highly intelligent and social animals face a miserable life locked in cages or living in isolation.

Meet Sully who is clinging to life. He’s only four weeks old, malnourished, and orphaned. He was being kept in secret as an illegal pet. He didn’t have the food, warmth, or care that he needed to live. Thankfully, he was rescued before it was too late. This sweet baby arrived at the sanctuary frightened, starving, and cold. The amazing vets and rehabilitation staff are giving Sully the round-the-clock care he needs to make it through the night.

GreaterGood.org partners with The Pan Africa Sanctuary Alliance to protect primates by rescuing great apes and monkeys orphaned by the horrible wildlife trade. PASA is providing long term rehabilitative care, and protecting critical habitats. PASA strengthens and supports member organizations and works to build a global movement to save Africa’s primates. We need your support to feed these animals every day and to provide them with any medical needs.

You can help. Your generous clicks today help provide fresh fruits and vegetables for starving wildlife trade victims like Sully. You can give abused primates a better life.

The Pan African Sanctuary Alliance (PASA), the largest association of wildlife centers in Africa, includes 23 organizations in 13 countries which are securing a future for Africa’s primates and their habitat. Our members are committed leaders in the movement to protect Africa’s great apes and monkeys. They rescue primates orphaned by the vicious and exploitative wildlife trade, provide dedicated long term rehabilitative care, and protect critical wildlife habitat.
