Grandma Left Shocked When An 11 Foot Alligator Shows Up In Her Kitchen
When we get up in the middle of the night to head to the kitchen, it's usually with the thought that we will have a treat. It doesn't matter if it is a drink or a snack, it's something that we enjoy during the nighttime kitchen raid.
The last thing that is on our minds when we head to the kitchen is the possibility that someone or something will be in our home. Of course, if you hear glass breaking like the woman in this video, you might wonder what is going on.
According to FOX 13 Tampa Bay, Mary Wishhusen heard glass breaking in the kitchen and decided to go check things out. As she came into the area, she saw an animal looking in her direction.
This wasn't a cute wild animal or a family pet. It was an 11-foot alligator. Let's just say that the alligator wasn't happy to be there, and she exited quickly.
After leaving, Mary called 911, and the dispatcher asked her to clarify what she had said. She had to convince the dispatcher that the gator was actually in her house and in her kitchen.
Police arrived before very long with animal control. They tethered the animal and removed it from the house, but it wasn't easy going.
As the alligator was being captured, its long tail dented the refrigerator. It also put several holes in the wall, but they were successful in removing it.
After removing the gator, they took it for a checkup. It was healthy, so they took it out to a gator farm where he could live in a protected area.
After investigating the situation, Mary found out the gator had come in through a low window. Damage did occur to the inside of the house but she was more upset about the good wine bottles that had been broken.
