Mama Dog And Her Only Surviving Puppy Catch A Flight To Freedom Together
A young American Staffordshire terrier mix and her sick puppies were taken in by a rural shelter who did their best to treat them.
The puppies had severe hookworm infections, and all but one died.
Save A Pet, an animal rescue in Alabama, found a loving foster home for the devastated mama who they named Fancy. At first, she was only comfortable in the backyard because she was never in a home before. She slowly opened up to her foster family who showered her with love and attention.
A vet tech took in her surviving pup named Faye and nursed her back to health. A few weeks later, Fancy was finally reunited with Faye. The devoted mom doesn't let the little one out of her sight and both are thriving.
But their story doesn't end there...
Shelters in the South are overcrowded, and many adoptable dogs are at risk of euthanasia due to lack of space and adopters. That is where Greater Good Charities and Flight to Freedom come to the rescue.
Every month, GreaterGood funds a Flight to Freedom – thanks to your donations – with our partners Greater Good Charities. Dogs and cats are taken from overcrowded shelters and flown to shelters with open kennels.
This month's flight will fly 55 dogs of all ages and breeds out of Louisiana and to New Jersey to find loving homes. Fancy and Faye are two of the lucky passengers on the April 17th flight that is fueled with your support.
Will you help fly them and dozens more to FREEDOM?
Just $5 helps cover the fuel costs of flying a pet 125 miles towards safety. Together we can save lives. Donate now!
