Three Baby Raccoons Rescued From Wall at NBA Arena

The Golden State Warriors are facing off against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Semifinals right now, but a different kind of animal crashed their arena this week.
According to a Facebook post from Animal Care & Control San Francisco, they received a call about three baby raccoons stuck in the wall at Chase Center, the home arena for the Warriors. No word on if they’d seen ticket prices and thought they’d sneak in.

The first two babies were safely pulled out by one officer, but the last one was a bit trickier and involved a team effort. An assist, if you will.
The Facebook post says, “Officer Keefe and Officer in Training Borg got a call that the third baby was mostly out, only the head was stuck. Officer Keefe changed the baby’s body position and Officer in Training Borg pulled the tile piece out as far as possible, and together they got the baby raccoon free.”

You can see pictures from the rescue on the post, including a safely retrieved baby and from shortly before the wall escape.
The babies seemed to rebound fairly well from their adventure. They’re currently being cared for at Yggdrasil Urban Wildlife Rescue to get a second shot at life.
