Rescuers Save 11 Puppies Abandoned In A Basement Without Food
When we have a dog in the family, we do what we can to ensure they are happy and healthy. Unfortunately, not all dogs have someone to look out for them.
Stray dogs exist in all areas of the world and although they may struggle, they also find a way to make it through in many cases. That isn't always the case when they are little puppies.
Recently 11 puppies were found on their own in the dark. They had been abandoned in a basement without food or anyone to care for them.
Even the mother dog was nowhere around. If it weren't for the actions of some kind strangers, these dogs wouldn't have had a chance to survive.
When someone reported the dogs to CC RezQs Regina, a Canadian-based rescue, they responded quickly. They came to rescue the puppies but that was only one of the hurdles they needed to overcome.
The rescue wanted to help the puppies, but they didn't have any room. They had so many animals in their care that they were already at capacity.
Rather than giving up, the rescue decided to reach out to Facebook for assistance, and shared several photos of the puppies. They told their followers that they had no open space, but they couldn't leave the puppies in such a dangerous situation.
These puppies had not yet experienced the love and kindness of a good human owner. They were nervous and shut down. The puppies had no idea of the good life that could be just in front of them.
One of the rescuers took to Instagram and spoke about how they felt when they saw the puppies. They said that it broke their heart and reminded them that they still had a lot of work to do.
The rescuers didn't have to wait long before they got an answer. Support started flowing in from Facebook, and foster applications put the dogs where they needed to be.
There were still some challenges because the puppies were not well socialized. Some of them were nervous, fearful, and even shut down.
It took a month, but the puppies were finally ready to be adopted. Four of them found a forever home with their fosters, and another five were adopted by other families. Only Pecan and London needed to find homes.
Let's hope these puppies find all of the love they deserve in life.
