Rescue Dog Born With "Stretched" Face Gains Fans Around The World

A sweet rescue dog with a unique, "stretched" face is making quite a splash on social media.

Lieschen O'Neill adopted Belle as a tiny puppy and had no idea how much joy the dog would bring to her life.

According to GeoBeats Animals, Lieschen rescued Belle from a shelter when the puppy was around 12 weeks old. The shelter didn't have any backstory on Belle, but it was obvious that she was a special dog.

If you look at her, you can see right away that's got somewhat of a goofy-looking face. Apparently, she has a goofy personality to match!

Lieschen shared with GeoBeats Animals that the vet suspects Belle's face is the way it is because she possibly stuck in her mother's birth canal and "everything was stretched back."

Despite her unique look, Belle can see and live a normal life. She's even incredibly smart and has learned to ring the doorstop to tell Lieschen when she has to go outside to potty.

Many people would overlook a dog with such a unique-looking face, but Lieschen and her family find Belle's looks to be endearing and they love her personality and presence. Lieschen said she's incredibly happy to have the dog as part of her family.

Since bringing Belle home and watching her grow, Lieschen decided to start sharing photos and videos of the pup on Instagram and she's gained fans around the world!
