Breaching Humpback Whale Almost Crashes A Boat Off Long Beach
If you've never had the opportunity to take a boat out and look for a humpback whale, you really are missing something fantastic in life. It's definitely something you would want to put on your bucket list.
Then again, you might want to be cautious as well, as there are times when the unexpected can happen. That is what took place for passengers on a boat off Long Beach enjoying the memorial day weekend.
A video was shared on Instagram and although it was only about eight seconds long, it really spoke volumes as to what happened. It was captioned: "Memorial Day Weekend started off with a bang."
It certainly did, because 27-year-old Nicole Liotta then showed how a humpback whale breached the water and landed near the boat. She even confirmed later that the whale touched the boat.
Three passengers were on board at the time and two of them could be heard screaming when the whale popped from the water.
Liotta also screamed, but she said it was more out of shock than out of what was taking place. They had also seen the whale breaching earlier when they stopped to see dolphins.
Since being posted, the video has racked up more than 100,000 views. It may be a short video, but it is one that really speaks a thousand words.
