Bride Calls Out Cheating Fiancé By Reading His Texts Aloud At The Wedding

A heartbroken bride-to-be decided to call off her wedding in an unusual way: by reading her fiance's texts aloud.

As shared with news.com.au, Casey was excited to marry her fiance and boyfriend of six years, Alex.

But the night before the big wedding day, everything changed.

Casey recalled to the outlet how she was with her best friends in a hotel room and feeling on top of the world when her phone went off. She'd been getting a lot of texts from people wishing her luck and congratulations for the wedding, but this text was different.

The texts were from an anonymous number and had screenshots of text messages from her fiance, with the caption: "I wouldn't marry him. Will you?"

The screenshots showed Alex's conversations with another woman, texts that showed he wasn't being the faithful fiance he portrayed.

According to news.com.au, Casey explained, "She was the opposite of me. I’m blonde and fair, and this unknown woman had dark hair and olive skin. The texts were dated from months to only days before. My brain simply could not compute WTF was going on. There was no questioning the legitimacy of these messages. I just knew."

Her friends were outraged and wanted to call off the wedding immediately. Casey wasn't so sure though. Everyone had come from near and far to attend her wedding and it didn't seem right to call it off so last minute, but she also couldn't marry Alex after what she'd just witnessed. Eventually, she made up her mind.

She was going to call off the wedding by calling Alex out during the ceremony, and that's exactly what she did.

She got dressed in her wedding gown and the wedding proceeded like usual, but when Casey got up to the alter it became clear that she wasn't getting married. She turned to the audience and said, "There will be no wedding today. It seems ‘Alex’ is not who I thought he was."

Then, much to Alex's horror, Casey began to read every text message out loud.

At the end, she said, "I love all of you and as horrible as this is I’m glad you all are here. There will not be a wedding reception today, but instead, there will be a celebration of honesty, finding true love and following your heart even when it hurts."

It wasn't the wedding everyone expected, but they had a great party afterward.
