One day when I walked to my mailbox, I saw the neighborhood hawk fly up to his usual pine tree to eat the fish he just caught. He usually gets greedy and has a fish in each talon. Many times, he drops one of the fish on my lawn, so I was not surprised when something dropped from the tree.

When I walked over to pick it up, I was shocked to find a tiny kitten, who was bleeding. I yelled for my husband to come out with a towel. We jumped into our car and drove to the vet.

My vet operated on him and did an amazing job but advised that the kitty may have to wear diapers for his entire life due to his injuries. Well, I named him Jack, and he recovered fully. No diapers, just a friendly beautiful boy.

I was blessed to have him in my life for 11 years. He was loved dearly.

Click to Help James

James and his blind brother, William, were found abandoned on the street when they were just four weeks old. James was born with one blind eye that started to cause him discomfort. Over time, that eye became increasingly painful and irritated. James is the seeing-eye cat for his brother, making his condition even more urgent to treat.
