Cat Who Loves the Ocean Feels Like Ariel in "The Little Mermaid"

Look at this stuff
Isn't it neat?
Wouldn't you think my collection's complete?
Wouldn't you think I'm the girl
The girl who has everything?

Look at this trove
Treasures untold
How many wonders can one cavern hold?
Looking around here you'd think
Sure, she's got everything

I wanna be where the people are
I wanna see, wanna see them dancin'
Walking around on those - what do you call 'em?
Oh - feet!

Up where they walk, up where they run
Up where they stay all day in the sun
Wanderin' free - wish I could be
Part of that world -- Part of Your World, The Little Mermaid

Well, this cat named Bao Zi has surely fulfilled all of her dreams like Ariel in the Little Mermaid. From an indoor cat who's been longing to discover something more, she's now part of her mothers' world!

This cat has now visited 45 states and 22 national parks, where she has seen and experienced things that only a few pets have had the joyful privilege of doing. But among the places she's gone to, it's the ocean that she loves the most. Yes, just like her mothers, Alice and Helene, the waters beckon to her like a whole new world to be enjoyed and explored.

According to Alice and Helene, Bao Zi used to be a quiet cat who just stayed at home. But they could observe that she has a natural liking for water, a tendency that's rare among cats. And so, they tested her reaction to flowing water.

At first, when placed in shallow waters, Bao Zi would just swim back to shore. What her moms did next was build her confidence. Some more tries and the cat became a natural swimmer who loves diving like a little mermaid!

What's more, Bao Zi has also come to love rock climbing and road trips. She goes hiking with her moms and gets immersed in the beauty of nature. She's enchanted by everything she sees and shares the joy of her fur parents as they dive into new adventures together.

Today, Bao Zi's personality is so different from the timid and bored cat she was before. Now, along with her moms, she's looking forward to meeting more new friends and traveling to more new places! She's now very much a part of a new, wide world!

For more than 20 years now, I’ve been devoting my heart, energy, and time to fulfilling my dream, which – many people may agree – is not among the easiest aspirations in life. Part of my happiness is having been able to lend a hand to many individuals, companies, and even governments as an investigative journalist, creative writer, TV director, and radio broadcaster.

At home, I spend my free time learning how to cook various cuisines. Tiramisu, chocolate mousse, and banoffee pie are my favorite desserts. Playing with our dogs, Mushu and Jerusalem, is also a special part of my day. And, of course, I read a lot – almost anything under the sun. But what really makes me feel alive is meeting people from various walks of life and writing about their stories, which echo with the tears and triumph of an unyielding spirit, humanity, and wisdom.
