Sick Rescue Cockatoo Finds The Perfect Hom After His Foster Mom Passes Away
A sick rescue cockatoo in California may have had a rough start to life, but now he's living large thanks to a medical center that refused to give up on him.
According to GeoBeats Animals, Brian Speer, the owner for the Medical Center for Birds in Oakley, California, shared that Cumulu was abandoned with a humane society in poor condition.
Brian said, "He was really, really quite ill and ended up here."
Brian and his team at the medical center began working to help Cumulu heal and recover from his neglectful life, and they even found him a wonderful foster home!
Unfortunately, his foster mom passed away unexpectedly and Cumulu found himself homeless once again.
Brian couldn't stand the idea of putting Cumulu through any more grief, so he made the decision to welcome the bird into the medical office as an official resident. The team at the office slowly started recognizing not only the physical issues Cumulu was dealing with but the behavioral issues as well!
While under Brian's care, the poor had to undergo eight different surgical procedures. Thankfully, he overcame the odds and recovered. Slowly but surely his personality began to shine.
The office staff got a lot from his presence and recognized how quirky and adorable he was. Despite his past, Cumulu was so full of life!
