Dog's Dream Come True! His Fur Family Built Him a Ramp for Patrolling Their Home
"To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go
This is my quest, to follow that star
No matter how hopeless, no matter how far
To fight for the right without question or pause
To be willing to march into hell for a heavenly cause
And I know if I'll only be true to this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm
When I'm laid to rest . . ."
This song by Andy Williams must be the inspiration of this dachshund, who takes his dream to be a patrol guard so seriously.
Never mind his size, Miles -- his owner's adventure dog -- has a big personality. He likes being in control at home, supervising the other family pets, checking out household stuff, and watching over everyone's welfare.
But what he loves most is getting outside and inspecting the front yard. If he could find a way out of the fence, he would never hesitate to continue his investigation of the world outside too.
Since Miles would constantly insist on getting outside the house, while also considering it might eliminate Miles's desire to go beyond the fence, his fur family decided to build him a ramp. Actually, it was grandpa who constructed the ramp for Miles, making it bigger and bigger so their beloved dachshund could see more beyond their fence to satisfy his curiosity and fulfill his dream to be a full-fledged security guard.
But, of course, his fur family trained Miles on how to properly patrol through his ramp. The brave dog quickly learned the lessons and assumed his duties for the sake of his loved ones and their home. What's more, the dachshund now even has a patrol guard uniform, which he wears with dignity and pride.
Now, their family is safer and much happier than ever under Miles's ever-watchful eye and ever-courageous heart!

For more than 20 years now, I’ve been devoting my heart, energy, and time to fulfilling my dream, which – many people may agree – is not among the easiest aspirations in life. Part of my happiness is having been able to lend a hand to many individuals, companies, and even governments as an investigative journalist, creative writer, TV director, and radio broadcaster.
At home, I spend my free time learning how to cook various cuisines. Tiramisu, chocolate mousse, and banoffee pie are my favorite desserts. Playing with our dogs, Mushu and Jerusalem, is also a special part of my day. And, of course, I read a lot – almost anything under the sun. But what really makes me feel alive is meeting people from various walks of life and writing about their stories, which echo with the tears and triumph of an unyielding spirit, humanity, and wisdom.
