Mama Dog With Broken Spine Loves Running And Playing With Her New Owner

When Jessie was hit by a car in the township of De Doorns in South Africa, her future looked grim. You see, she'd just had a litter of puppies who desperately needed her, but her owner didn't have the means to care for her or the puppies.

Thankfully, the animal rescue Sidewalk Specials stepped in to save not only the puppies but Jessie too.

As Sidewalk Specials shared on YouTube, Jessie was lucky to be walking at all. Her spine was so crooked and broken, it was hanging on by "just a thread."

Somehow, she defied all odds and continued walking and caring for her pups. However, it was clear that she couldn't return to her previous home and life. It was too hard on her given her delicate health situation.

Jessie and her puppies found wonderful foster homes where they could really learn how to be dogs. Jessie went on to be adopted.

Since finding a forever home, Jessie can't stop running and playing! She loves her new life, and it's so precious to witness.

As for her puppies, they'll go on to be adopted into loving forever homes as well. Their futures were so uncertain, but now, they're living their best lives thanks to Sidewalk Specials.

A lot of dogs in Jessie's situation might've been euthanized due to her spine.
