Young Border Collie Fetches Senior Dog When It's Time For A Walk
They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but you can teach a young dog new tricks that involve an old dog!
John Hakari put that to the test when he trained his young border collie, Rosie, to fetch his senior border collie for walk time.
Instead of having to go find the aging dog, who's hard of hearing, John can simply tell Rosie to do it and the eager pooch takes off to find the old dog!
Border collies really love to work and it's no surprise that Rosie is such a great and enthusiastic helper. According to the American Kennel Club, border collies tend to be "workaholics" that need plenty of of means to stay occupied.
What better way to keep mentally stimulated than by learning some tricks to help out the humans and be productive?
John managed to capture a video of Rosie fetching the older dog for a walk and it's quite adorable to watch.
He shared it on YouTube, saying, "Taught my younger dog how to go get my old, deaf dog so we can go on a walk."
You can see the sweet trick for yourself in the video below:
How cute is that?
