Dog Person Forms Bond With Cat And Teaches Him How To Play Fetch
Many people will argue that you're either a cat person or a dog person, and there are others who will make the argument that you can be both.
Personally, I think that there's truth to both statements and that lots of people would fall in the middle but maybe have a preference for one more than the other. I'm certainly more of a cat person over a dog person if I had to choose.
People are either cat or dog people for many different reasons. Personally, I'm more of a cat person because I appreciate their independence. Cats are not all over you in the same way that dogs are, yet they're easily just as affectionate as dogs.
I might even slip in the argument that they're more affectionate than dogs because while dogs are just friends with everyone, cats tend to reserve all their affection for those they truly care about. I guess that's my favorite thing about cats: You have to earn their love, but when you do, you've always got it.
But there is one adorable video of a self-described "dog-person" getting to know his cat better. Santiago took the plunge of getting a cat, a little adorable feline named Bean. At first, though, he was finding it a little difficult to form a bond with his cat.
According to The Dodo, however, that wasn't going to last. He eventually got the breakthrough that he was looking for, and he got it through a rather ironic method.
Santiago started to treat his cat a bit like a dog, and from there, the connection just started to work! It all began with a game of fetch using his partner Callie's hair ties.
Santiago shared with The Dodo, "Once I realized that I could play with her I kind of treated her like a dog and it worked. We play fetch with hair ties she would go chase it and then bring it back."
