Purebred Chocolate Lab Puppy Needs a Forever Home with Consistency

Meet Durant, a sweet 10-month-old purebred Chocolate Lab in need of adoption. Durant and his brothers came from a breeder who couldn't keep them any longer, so here we are looking for a forever home for him. Durant is now in foster care via Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue in central Arizona.
A friendly and lovable pup, he adores everyone he meets and likes ear scritches and pets. Always down for a game of fetch, he's not necessarily the best at bringing the ball back yet — but hey, he's learning! He's also still learning how to walk on a leash properly and various commands, but his foster mom says he has made huge strides in these areas already!

Sadly, Durant had spent a lot of time outside before being rescued, so he may not be completely housebroken yet, but he's said to be a quick learner! Since he's still a very young boy, he does have a lot of energy to burn and is pretty strong, so he may not be the best fit for a home with young children or elderly pet parents just yet.
Durant is currently part of Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue's Foster-to-Adopt (FTA) Program. If you are interested in adopting Durant, you would take him into your home as a family member to foster and care for him until he is medically cleared and ready for adoption. In Durant's case, that would be a few days after his neuter is completed on May 17, 2023.
At that time, interested applicants can officially adopt him. Potential pet parents will be required to complete a foster application and an FTA Conditions & Agreement document. Durant is in good physical health and has no special needs. If you are aware of anyone who is looking for a young Lab, please share his story with them. The more people that share or spread the information, the higher his chances are of finding a forever home of his own.
As he's still in the learning stage of life, the quicker he finds a stable situation with a pet parent willing to work with him consistently, the better his odds are of making a successful transition and staying put.
