Utility Company Comes To Rescue A Seagull Trapped In The Power Lines
Seagulls are not always looked upon favorably. In some cases, they're considered a nuisance, but like any animal, they also deserve a fighting chance.
Perhaps that is why some concerned citizens called in to report a seagull that was trapped on the power lines. It was one of those moments you don't often see, and it is worth watching twice.
The call first went to the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter in Branford. When they came out to check on the situation, they found that there was indeed a seagull that was stuck on the lines and was dangerously close to live power lines.
They knew that they couldn't save the seagull without putting themselves in harm's way, so they contacted a company that works on power lines, Eversouce CT.
The shelter shared on Facebook that a repairman was kind enough to come to the scene and bring a bucket truck.
That repairman, Mike, was a very kind individual. He didn't handle the bird gruffly, but he spoke softly to him as he freed the bird's leg. The entire incident was posted on Facebook for others to see.
After being freed from the line, the bird went to Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter to receive additional medical attention. It was one bird that was well cared for.
After everything was done and the bird was safe, a video was posted on Facebook of the entire ordeal. The bird was in need, but he had several heroes that day and they all cared for him in the best way possible.
