Nyasha was found suffering in the dangerous Kharkiv region of Ukraine as Russian drones loomed overhead. A large and infected wound on her back was causing her immense pain, and she needed emergency care to survive.

Rescuers rushed her to a local animal clinic. While no one knows how she sustained her massive injury, they knew that they had to act fast to stop the infection from spreading. 

The sweet dog underwent treatment to remove damaged tissue before placing a drainage system to try to clear the infection. She is now receiving antibiotics, pain medication, and daily wound care to support her healing.
