Mama cats always put their kittens first ensuring they have what they need to survive and thrive. It takes a lot to feed and care for a litter, especially when mama is injured.

Indi was nursing a litter of kittens when her owner reached out to a rescue saying they could no longer care for her. Months earlier, she took a bad fall and fractured her femur, dislocated her hip, and broke two teeth.

Every step she takes is painful.

When she finally arrived at the rescue after caring for her kittens, they discovered she was pregnant again. Surgery to repair her leg was postponed giving her time to give birth and nurse her new litter of kittens.

This tough mama has cared for two litters of kittens while suffering with a broken leg. She needs your support to get the surgery she needs to finally walk again without pain.

Her kittens are ready to find loving homes, and she is ready for surgery.

Following surgery, Indi will remain under close supervision as she begins to heal and regains her mobility. Shelters and rescues are already stretched thin trying to feed all the animals in their care.

They are unable to afford expensive medical bills. That is where Greater Good Charities' Emergency Animal Medical fund helps. With your continued support, injured or sick animals who arrive at shelter can get the life-saving care they need.

Donate today to help this mama heal and find a loving home.
