Shelter Puppy with Ruptured Eye on Road to Recovery
Andrea Powell
Update: Thanks to your generous donations, Steve is on the road to recovery. His inflamed eye was removed and he is doing well. The rescue shared with us, "Through it all he's been the sweetest, most loving little guy."
He can run and play as puppies should and will soon be put up for adoption. Your donations are changing lives. Read his full story below.

Meet Steve.
The three-month-old puppy was at-risk of euthanasia at an overcrowded shelter due to a traumatic eye injury.
He was in pain and needed someone to save him.

Vegas Roots Rescue came to his rescue and told us, "Our local shelter has a transfer list of animals that are at risk of being euthanized and we pulled him from there."
His eye has ruptured and the only option is to remove it. While his life was saved, he still needs an enucleation.
He has been started on pain medication while he awaits surgery. Steve is a tough pup who remains happy and friendly through it all.

Help him get the care he needs to heal and find a forever home. Greater Good Charities' Emergency Animal Medical fund is helping with his medical care, with your continued support. The fund is a lifeline for shelter animals like Steve who need emergency medical care.
Together, we have saved countless lives. Help Steve get the second chance he deserves by donating here.
