Do you remember Samson? 

This five-year-old Labrador retriever mix was found in grave condition on the streets of California. 

He was bitten by a venomous rattlesnake and needed immediate veterinary care. It was discovered at the vet that Samson was also suffering from anemia, ehrlichiosis and was retaining fluid in his stomach.

Your donations helped him get the emergency care he needed to remove several gallons of fluid from his stomach, start treatment for tick-borne disease, and five rounds of antivenom treatment. 

Samson was very ill and at first the medical team was worried if he would survive- but he did. 

The tough pup found a loving foster home to recover in and was doing well until they found a cancerous tumor on his shoulder. 

Samson was once again treated and is now happy and healthy.

He has also passed rattlesnake training to avoid these dangerous animals. His foster family is considering adopting the sweet fella and giving him the life he deserves. 

He now spends his days napping in his soft bed and avoiding walking on wood floors. He prefers carpet or rugs.
