Sick Puppy, Spartacus, Battling Parvo Needs Our Support to Survive
Update: Spartacus has made a full recovery! The energetic pup sends his thanks for your support and is also happy to share that he found a loving home.
Meet Spartacus.
The little puppy is a fighter and that is why Kiss My Paws Rescue in Las Vegas, Nevada, named him after a brave warrior.
The rescue responded to a plea for help on Facebook about sick puppies. Spartacus and his three siblings arrived at the rescue suffering from the highly contagious and often deadly canine parvovirus.
They had been battling the virus for days without care, and sadly help came too late for three of the puppies.
The sole survivor was Spartacus who is receiving fluids, medication, and round-the-clock care. He is determined to win this battle but needs our support.
He will need to remain at the hospital until he recovers, which could be up to a month.
Will you help him overcome this illness?
Pets receiving critical care facilitated by an Emergency Animal Medical grant may not be eligible for adoption until they have completed their course of treatment. If you would like to inquire about adoption of a specific animal, we strongly encourage you to visit the shelter’s specific website first as that is often the most up to date place to learn about available pets and review the adoption policies and process.
Help us meet our goal of $4,000 for Spartacus and pets like him. Your gift will not only give him the hope to keep fighting, but your donations will help cover his ongoing care.
