Help Fly Over 50 At-Risk Dogs at Overcrowded Shelters to Freedom
Andrea Powell
Freedom is something all shelter dogs dream of. Help make it a reality by donating towards this month's Flight to Freedom.
Over 50 shelter dogs will be taken from overcrowded shelters in Louisiana where they are at risk due to lack of space and resources and will be flown to freedom in New Jersey.
Dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds are patiently waiting for their one-way ticket. Each month, The Animal Rescue Site helps fly shelter pets to freedom, with your support.
Meet just a few of the passengers on this month's flight below.
Henny

"This 2.5-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix is the full package—friendly, social, and always up for some splashy fun. Henny is a total people-lover with a calm, easygoing vibe that makes her a hit with both staff and other pets. She gets along well with other dogs and brings a peaceful presence wherever she goes," shared her caretakers.

Henny loves cooling off in a kiddie pool and is always up for an adventure. She is ready to find an active family.
Stella and her puppies

Stella and her 10-week-old puppies (Starla and Sirius) were surrendered to the shelter when their family could no longer care for them.

The shelter shared, "Stella is a total sweetheart. She’s calm, affectionate, and does well with other dogs. Her easygoing nature makes her a wonderful companion, whether she’s snuggling at home or making new friends. Starla and Sirius are playful, curious, and full of puppy energy. They’re learning the world through each other and the steady presence of their devoted mom."

They are ready to find loving homes in New Jersey.
Lily
This sweet girl was found abandoned along with her puppies. Now that her puppies have found homes, she is ready for one of her own. She has a gentle spirit, loving nature and would make a great companion for a family or individual.

She did test positive for heartworm disease and will receive treatment in New Jersey before being adopted.
Lily is ready to find someone to love.
