From Stealing Eggs to Finding Love: A War-Torn Dog's Second Chance

From Stealing Eggs to Finding Love: A War-Torn Dog's Second Chance

There are thousands of homeless dogs in war-torn Ukraine trying to survive. They are constantly on the hunt for scraps of food and even resort to stealing to survive. That was the case for a small dog we are calling Vtsilila, which is Ukrainian for survivor.

She managed to survive in a war zone by stealing eggs, which also made her a target. Her survival instincts kicked in, and her rumbling belly needed food to survive, so she stole the one thing she could access- eggs.

No one knows how she ended up on the street, if her family was killed, or if she was abandoned. Just like countless others, she was just trying to survive in the harsh conditions.

Krystina heard about this brave dog and came to her rescue before she was harmed by the angry humans.

Her team managed to catch her and promised to find her a loving home where she would never go hungry again.

It didn't take long for Krystina to fulfill that promise. A family in the Czech Republic adopted Vtsilila and love her beyond measure. Her life changed in an instant. Instead of just surviving, she is living life to the fullest.

She spends her days playing with her canine sibling, going for walks, napping on a soft bed, and devouring nutritious food.

Her new family knows how much she loves eggs, so they got her a stuffed egg toy that she loves to play with.

This courageous dog is finally living the life she deserves, thanks to your support. Krystina is caring for over 250 dogs at her shelter Under the Sun as calls for help continue to come in. With your continued support, she can care and feed the homeless dogs until they all find loving homes of their own.
