Confused German Shepherd Reacts To A Crying Baby
Dogs can be excellent companions for babies and kids, providing them with love, comfort, and entertainment.
Many dogs are naturally protective of young children and can act as loyal and watchful guardians. They also offer a sense of stability and security for kids, especially when introduced early on.
Even dogs who aren't often around kids can have a natural tendency to be protective. Just take the dog in the video below.
The black German Shepherd is one of four dogs living together in Texas. Their owner regularly shares videos and photos of Gotham, Nox, 777 and Kat on Instagram where they have over 38,000 followers.
Back in 2018, their owner filmed as she played the sound of a baby crying on her phone. The black german shepherd immediately perked up and grew confused and concerned. It's too cute!
According to the American Kennel Club, German Shepherds are great family dogs as they tend to do well with young children.
The organization says of the breed:
"There are many reasons why German Shepherds stand in the front rank of canine royalty, but experts say their defining attribute is character: loyalty, courage, confidence, the ability to learn commands for many tasks, and the willingness to put their life on the line in defense of loved ones. German Shepherds will be gentle family pets and steadfast guardians..."
Considering the concern shown by the German Shepherd hearing the crying baby, I think it's safe to say that he'd be a caring and gentle family dog.
