Here's How How This Jealous Golden Retriever Learned to Love Her New Little Sister

Just imagine for six years, she was the only "child" in their family!

Ellie would travel with her fur dad to different parts of the country. She joined him in many outdoor adventures, like kayaking, swimming, and hiking. They also enjoyed dining together or simply relaxing on a hammock with a book.

But among their family activities that Ellie loved the best was photography. Her fur dad would take a lot of pictures, and Ellie loved posing for him, the cutest way a Golden Retriever ever could!

But then, here comes Emma. Ellie saw her fur dad carrying her in his arms to introduce the little puppy to her. OMG, Ellie didn't know how to react. She didn't even know what this fluffy ball was.

How she disliked her! And that's even after she learned that Emma was a baby Golden Retriever, a very close kin. Ellie suddenly felt her world turning upside down. Now, she had a rival for her fur parents' attention.

What's worse, Emma was now a star who would happily pose before their fur dad's camera!

It was hard for Ellie to take it all in. She would always eye Emma with jealousy, at times trying to draw their parents' attention away from her.

Ellie's fur dad would tell her that soon Emma would grow up, and they would be like sisters playing together. However, Ellie still didn't like the puppy whom she thought was simply an intruder in their life.

What did their dad do? He started taking them out on a one-on-one date. They shared fun, food, and exciting adventures. Yet, Ellie chose to remain aloof. But their fur dad was patient, because he wanted them all to be happy together.

Six months, and guess what? Ellie and Emma are now best friends forever! The two dogs have become inseparable, and Ellie is like a big sister who teaches Emma everything she knows.

At last, their fur parents' dream has come true! And that's thanks to their fur dad who did not give up. They are now a bigger, happier family with a livelier future to look forward to!

For more than 20 years now, I’ve been devoting my heart, energy, and time to fulfilling my dream, which – many people may agree – is not among the easiest aspirations in life. Part of my happiness is having been able to lend a hand to many individuals, companies, and even governments as an investigative journalist, creative writer, TV director, and radio broadcaster.

At home, I spend my free time learning how to cook various cuisines. Tiramisu, chocolate mousse, and banoffee pie are my favorite desserts. Playing with our dogs, Mushu and Jerusalem, is also a special part of my day. And, of course, I read a lot – almost anything under the sun. But what really makes me feel alive is meeting people from various walks of life and writing about their stories, which echo with the tears and triumph of an unyielding spirit, humanity, and wisdom.
