More Than 1,000 Golden Retrievers Gather For Canine Celebration In Golden, Colorado
If you're like me, getting to spend a day surrounded by golden retriever pups is a dream. Growing up, my cousins always had several golden retriever dogs and they were so much fun to be around, their joy and love for life are simply contagious.
Personally, I'd love to spend a day just hanging out with a bunch of golden retrievers and now that dream is a possibility thanks to a celebration in Golden, Colorado.
That town celebrates National Golden Retriever Day by hosting a huge celebration just for dogs and their owners!
According to the Denver Post, over 1,000 golden retrievers and their owners participated in the third annual celebration on February 4, 2023.
The canine event, known as Goldens in Golden, is held on Saturday closest to National Golden Retriever Day (Feb. 3).
According to the city's website, the event offers a meet and greet, a professional photo op, goodie bags, a group walk, and more!
Golden, Colorado is located at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, just west of Denver. Despite being a fairly small town, the even really drew in a crowd!
