Dogs and Cats Impacted by Hurricanes in Tampa Have Full Bellies, Thanks to You
Tampa, Florida, was hit by two powerful hurricanes in late September that displaced many people and pets.
Hillsborough county was hit especially hard, and residents and shelters needed pet food and supplies.
Your generous donations delivered pallets of pet food, litter, and other essential supplies.
Humane Society of Tampa Bay (HSTB) shared with us that people and pets impacted by the devastating storms are beyond grateful for the support, as is the shelter.
They said, "The pallets of food have had such a positive impact on the residents of Hillsborough County. So far, we have given out a total of 149 large bags of cat or kitten food and 173 bags of dog food, which came to almost 7,000 lbs. of pet food, helping those suffering from both hurricanes. We really appreciate all your help with this."
Thanks to your support, Greater Good Charities' team members have distributed more than $7.8 million in aid to over 50 of the hardest hit communities.
HSTB is experiencing extreme overcrowding, especially for dogs, and still needs our support. Unfortunately, this is the case for many shelters nationwide. Join us in feeding shelter pets by donating to our Holiday Pet Food Drive.
Our goal is to feed one million shelter dogs and cats this holiday season, but we need your help. Donate now!
