Orphaned Kittens Are Surviving and Thriving Thanks in Part to Your Donations
Andrea Powell
Kitten season is happening right now, which means that animal shelters nationwide are seeing an influx of sick and orphaned kittens. These tiny kittens require constant care and feeding to survive.
Your donations are helping by providing the vital formula and bottles these kittens need. Dedicated staff and fosters are then making sure to feed them every couple hours to ensure they get the nutrients they need.

Together, we are saving lives.
Read just a few stories of kittens who benefited from your support below.
Molly

This tiny feline arrived at Save A Pet with her siblings after their mother was killed. They shared, "Without having access to kitten formula, these sweet nursing kittens would not have a chance of surviving. We are so thankful for the generous donation of KBR formula. It has literally been a life saver! This donation could not have come at a better time, as we are in the midst of kitten season."
Dolly's Cat Sanctuary & Rescue
"This kitten season has been crazy. Most of the baby cats have come to us because the mother cat was hit by a car or we pulled the babies from the euthanasia list at Animal Welfare," the rescue told us.

They are caring for over dozens of orphaned kittens with new ones arriving. They said that without the help of dedicated fosters and donated formula, these kittens wouldn't stand a chance.

Everyone at the rescue and the kittens are beyond grateful for the support. Staff said, "One of the hardest things about kitten season is the price of formula for the rescue; especially when we have so many babies in need. Getting these donated bags of KMR was a dream come true for both our fosters and our babies. KMR is our absolute favorite formula and the one we use that kittens actually like. Thank you so much from all of us at Dolly’s Cat Sanctuary and Rescue for donating this formula and helping us help these precious baby kittens."
Jelly

A seven-week-old tabby kitten was found alone during a storm and brought to El Reno Animal Shelter. She was taken in by a foster who bottle fed her formula (thanks to your donations) and watched her grow.

She is now thriving and loves to cuddle. The rescue shared, "The generous KMR formula donation helps Jelly and other kittens like her grow healthy and strong & allows us to focus funds on more urgent medical needs that may arise, as well as getting everyone fully tested & treated for parasites, vaccinated and spayed/neutered!"
Watonga Community Cat Foundation
This rescue group is caring for over 30 kittens who need to be bottle fed. Your donations are providing the nutrition they need to grow big and strong.

Kittens like Bean found alone along a busy highway and Roger who was orphaned and found in a backyard are doing well. Countless others are also benefitting from the donated formula and bottles.

According to the rescue, "All these kittens came from different circumstances, but have this in common - all of them typically have poor outcomes if no rescue has space or funds to care for them. Our rescue is volunteer-run and relies on donations to provide supplies and vet care for all our cats. It is challenging to afford milk replacer and kitten food for the number of young lives that are depending on us. We could not do this without help. We cannot thank you enough."
