Gorilla Runs Full Speed Into Cold Water And Regrets It

Growing up by the river and beach, I've had my fair share of water-related regrets. Sometimes the water looks so tempting, but if you plunge in the reality of how cold it is quickly sinks in.

I can't count the number of times I've run full speed into the water only to regret it moments later because it's so icy cold. In those moments, I'm forced to set my ego aside and retreat back to the warmth of the shore.

Apparently, this isn't something unique to me or humans, but a gorilla recently experienced the same situation!

The Congo Wildlife Conservation in the Democratic Republic of Congo shared a video of the gorilla with the caption: "Gorillas don't like cold water either... courage at first - dignified retreat..."

In the video, you can see a large gorilla running into the water before quickly regretting it and retreating. He might run full speed into the water, but he slowly walks back as if to maintain his dignity. It's both funny and relatable.

Once the gorilla returns to shore, he goes from strutting on his two legs to walking on all fours.

Maybe he'll attempt to swim at a later time.

You can see the video for yourself below:

Have you ever been in a similar situation to the gorilla? Let us know!
