Sneaky Kid Whispers To Alexa For Help On His Math Homework
What’s the use of Alexa if not for making our lives easier? It’s a digital assistant that’s capable of responding to many commands, however complex.
One thing they’re incapable of, however, is deciphering what’s wrong or right. In this instance, Alexa was unknowingly used as a cheating device.
You can take away a kid’s phone, but you can’t really take away or hide a device that everyone in the house is using, can you?
One clever boy used their family’s Alexa to make his life a little easier.
In this age where people have calculators handily available on their phones, or Siri or Alexa just one ‘hey’ away, what’s the use of learning simple arithmetic anyway? I kid, I kid! Learn your equations and memorize your multiplication table, everybody!
In a viral video shared on Reddit, a kid is doing his homework at home unsupervised. His parents probably trusted their son to be good and do his work diligently, but his mom came to check up on him, only to be dismayed by what she saw.
The kid was whispering to Alexa and asking her questions about his math homework.
He asked, “Alexa, what is five take away two?” And then repeated himself when his first whisper didn’t work.
Immediately jotting down the answer and asking the next math problem without any pause, Carson continues to do his homework, unaware that his mother is behind him and filming his misdeeds.
But what probably made this video viral is Carson’s reaction when his mom sternly called his name and the clip ends with the boy’s startled face.
