Sweet K9 Puppy Wants To Nap During His Swearing-In Ceremony
Being a puppy is hard work! Just ask Otis and Bear.
The two labrador retrievers were just sworn in as official K9 therapy dogs for local schools through the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office in Colorado, and they barely made it through the ceremony awake!
The sheriff's office took to Facebook to introduce the puppies and said, "At just 8 weeks old they'll be our youngest members and ready to begin their therapy dog duties. Training treats are on deck. Let's do this!"
On April 20, 2023, K9 Otis and K9 Bear went through the official swearing-in ceremony. The sheriff's office shared a video of the event on Facebook, and you can see a crowd gathered around to witness the special moment.
Bear is caught on video taking a quick pre-ceremony nap while Otis raises his paw to be sworn in. It's so cute! With all the attention and commotion, it makes sense that Bear would need a little break.
Both puppies were successfully sworn in and will commence their training as therapy dogs. Hopefully they get all the rest and treats they both deserve!
Arapahoe County is lucky to be in their service.
