Single Mom Who Walked To Work Every Day To Provide For Her Kids Is Surprised With A Car

A single mother from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, has been walking two miles to and from work to provide for her three children after her car broke down a few months ago, leaving her with no mode of transportation.

Now, Kewonna Kennedy's days of walking to work are a thing of the past.

Recently, Kennedy was surprised with a gift from Caliber Collision and GEICO that will help make things a lot easier for her and her family.

GEICO donated a 2018 Toyota Prius to Caliber Collision, where employees donated their personal time to restore the car for her.

Kennedy was blown away by the generous gift and says it will not only help her get to and from work but will also allow her to bring her kids to school.

It's safe to say that this is a Christmas that Kennedy and her family will never forget!

This isn't the first time Caliber and its partners have helped out a family. In the past 12 years, they've donated nearly 500 cars to people and their families.

"It's amazing, it is honestly," Caliber Collision Myrtle Beach Market Regional Manager Jonathan Griffin told ABC 15 News. "I mean it's giving me goosebumps just thinking about it."

In the video, you'll also see another incredible surprise. Mary Bryan, a Beaufort County resident, is gifted a new home, six years after Hurricane Matthew destroyed her previous one. It was a long road for Bryan to get to this point, and she is forever thankful for this wonderful gift. Watch her reaction to seeing her new home in the video below.
