Labrador Helps Make Her Own Birthday Cake

Labrador Helps Make Her Own Birthday Cake

Everyone celebrates birthdays differently, but when you're the first child, you probably get a little more than the rest. That's not just true for people but for our pets as well!

When Courtney Morgan of Whangarei, New Zealand welcomed a sweet labrador named Bella into her life, she knew she was going to give her pup the world.

Speaking with Storyful, Courtney explained, "She’s my first dog and she’s spoilt rotten."

Naturally, Courtney wanted to do something to celebrate Bella's 2nd birthday so she got to work fixing up a birthday cake. But Courtney didn't make the cake alone - she let Bella help with the baking!

In a sweet video shared on TikTok, you can watch as Courtney and Bella "bake" together.

In reality, Courtney was doing most of the baking while Bella did her best to sneak tastes of whatever was going in the bowl.

For the cake, Courtney used a dog-friendly recipe that required carrot, flour, baking soda, pumpkin, apple sauce, oil, honey, and eggs.

Courtney explained in the comments that the cake was topped with doggy treat "chips" that looked like chocolate chips and a whipped cream frosting. Yum!

You can watch the baking fiasco in the video below:
