Man Rescues Dog Dangling From Elevator Doors

A little dog in Pennslyvania was given a second chance at life thanks to a Good Samaritan living in her apartment building.

The tan and white dog ended up trapped in the closed elevator doors, helplessly dangling from the top.

According to Inside Edition, Fernando Santos was heading to his apartment when he pushed the elevator button to take him upstairs.

As he waited for the elevator, Santos scrolled through his phone as he waited for the elevator, but when he glanced up, he couldn't believe what he saw.

Hanging from the top of the elevator doors was a dog!

As Inside Edition shared, "Apparently, the dog's owner got on the elevator with an arm full of packages and somehow the dog got left behind." It wasn't fully left behind, however, because the leash ended up going up in the elevator, pulling the poor pooch up with it.

Thankfully, the dog was wearing a harness which prevented her from choking to death. She was still in a dangerous position, however, so it's a good thing that Santos found her when he did!

Santos did the right thing and immediately unhooked the dog from the leash, "saving the pooch's life." After unhooking the small dog, he pulled it in for a warm embrace.
