Family Adopts Adorable Puppy And Are Surprised By What He Grows Up To Look Like
The concept of beauty is subjective, and what one person considers ugly, another may find charming or endearing. Additionally, people may be drawn to so-called "ugly" animals for a variety of reasons.
For example, some people may appreciate the uniqueness and distinctiveness of these animals, and find them interesting or even cute because they are different from what is considered conventionally attractive. Others may find their perceived ugliness to be endearing or amusing, and enjoy their quirky and eccentric personalities.
In some cases, people may also be drawn to so-called "ugly" animals because they have been stigmatized or overlooked due to their appearance, and the affection shown towards them may be seen as a way of challenging social norms and celebrating diversity.
One person who knows this all too well is a woman named Carly. Her family happens to be the proud owners of a dog named Mugsy. Let's just say, Mugsy could compete in the World's Ugliest Dog Competition and it wouldn't be surprising if he won.
In an interview with GeoBeats Animals, Carly described Mugsy as having a face only a mother would love. She said, "He has huge eyes that bulge at you. He's got the extreme underbite with the silly teeth."
Around 12 years ago when Carly was just 10 years old, her family adopted Mugs from a Petco rescue event.
At the time of his adoption, Mugsy was pure white with "bright blue eyes." It was believable that he'd grow into a beautiful white lab, but alas, he was far from it.
Mugsy may be hard to look at, but Carly says she's a real joy to have around.
The sweet dog has watched her graduate from both elementary school and college!
