Neglected Horse Finally Gets Adopted After Four Years At A Rescue
Electra had a rough start to life, but things have finally changed for her for the better.
It all started when Electra was rescued back in 2019. She arrived at Days End Farm Horse Rescue, a non-profit specializing in rescuing and rehabilitating horses.
The rescue shared on Facebook that when she first arrived, she was "malnourished and suffering from neglect."
They worked with her, and, slowly but surely, she started to gain weight.
Three years after Electra was rescued, she had completely transformed both inside and out! The rescue said, "Today, she is thriving in our herd and waiting patiently to find her forever home. As one of DEFHR's longest waiting residents, please help us find Electra the retirement home she deserves!"

Electra waited at the rescue for four long years. But in April of 2023, she finally got the news that every rescue pet hopes for: She was adopted!
The rescue said, "Electra (dark bay) has been one of DEFHR's longest residents and waited patiently for four years to be adopted. It was worth the wait, as Electra found the perfect home where she can retire and enjoy endless amounts of love!"
She was one of three horses adopted that day, along with a horse named Bundt Cake and a horse named Elli.

Being the longest resident of the rescue, it's safe to say that people were particularly excited to see Electra finally going home.
They said, "Please help us congratulate Bundt Cake, Elli, Electra, and their new adopters. We wish them all many happy years together!"
