Catastrophic flash floods and landslides hit Nepal claiming the lives of over 1,400 people and destroying thousands of homes. We asked for your support to help those impacted and you stepped up in a big way. 

Greater Good Charities' partner Sneha's Care, a non-profit animal rescue organization in Nepal, visited the devastated areas delivering aid to animals. Your donations helped fund the food and vital supplies these animals need to survive.

The rescue team told us, "We took animal feed, medicines, mineral salt, tarpaulins, rope, first aid kits, and feeding bowls. In some places, we walked two or three hours to reach the animals. We reached more than 1,000 animals during this trip." 

It will take a long time to rebuild, and animals need help now. Thankfully, there are people at Sneha's Care willing and able to help. 

They recalled, "People told me they had lost almost everything. Some of their surviving animals have very little to eat, not even mineral salt. They said no government food assistance had reached their animals."

Due to upcoming rain, they returned to their shelter but will head back to the flood-affected areas once the weather improves. They said there are thousands of animals still in need of food and care.
