This Paris Hilton Doesn't Care About Bling, Just Home & Family
A sweet mama dog who deserves to live the good life is searching for her forever home. One that will accept her, be kind and patient with her, and perhaps even help her on her weight-loss journey as she sheds her post-baby pregnancy pounds. A girl's got to get her figure back somehow!
Currently, at the Pima Animal Care Center in Tucson, Arizona, this is what shelter staff are able to relate about their "celebrity" resident:
Our Paris Hilton has never seen a single episode of The Simple Life, but she's definitely interested in living the simple life with her forever family! This girl is less bling and more down to earth than her namesake. She's a sweet, sensitive girl with no interest in attracting the paparazzi, but she does have the duck lip thing down for photo ops.
Despite her fancy name, our Paris is just a casual lady who wants a comfy place to snooze, some affection, and maybe a few tennis balls to play with. During her time here, Paris has won the hearts of volunteers and staff alike. Here's what they've said about her:
"I have become quite fond of Paris. On our walks, she is super happy and rolls on her back happily. Paris is such a sweet girl and seems to be more sensitive than I would have initially thought."
"Paris and I have spent a lot of time together. She is very playful and enjoyed playing in the snow last week, rolling around and getting the zoomies. She also enjoyed a trip to Mikey's room, where she played with toys, got more zoomies, and then settled on the couch. She enjoys giving kisses and likes to be with her people. Treats go a long way in winning her over, but once you're in, you're in for life. The best dog ever."
According to shelter staff, Paris will benefit from a quiet home and a supportive family to help build her confidence. She has shared her kennel at times, and mostly kept to herself when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She's looking for a home with a secure yard to keep her safe and sound and one without cats or other small pets.
Estimated to be around 3 years old, she's spayed now but weighs a chunky 85 pounds. She's been at the shelter since September 2022 and is now at risk of euthanasia. If you are interested in adopting or fostering her, please email pacc.adopt@pima.gov with additional questions ASAP! She's in Kennel D102, and her ID# is A788737.
Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
PACC is at critical capacity, meaning that there are more dogs in the shelter than there is room. This has resulted in the creation of a euthanasia list, which identifies dogs who may be at risk of euthanasia in the near future. This pet and others are on that list. If you are interested in adopting or fostering, please ask about this pet!
