Dog Trapped in Wildfire Rescued Just in Time, Now He Needs Our Help
Meet Bear.
He found himself trapped in a fast-moving wildfire near his home in New Mexico. He became separated from his family as they attempted to flee the area. The scared dog took refuge behind a trailer, but he wasn't safe there.
Local firefighters saw the injured dog and called Helping Paws Across Borders for help.
Together they sedated Bear to safely remove him from the active fire area. He was brought back to an animal clinic where his wounds were treated. He has severe burns on his paws, elbows, and face and most of his body is singed.
The poor dog will need daily bandage changes, pain medication, and antibiotics. His family lost everything in the fire and is unable to pay for Bear's medical bills.
Greater Good Charities' Emergency Animal Medical fund is helping with his ongoing medical care, but we need your support. The fund was created to save animals like Bear who need emergency care.
Help Bear recover from his wounds and reunite with his family. Your gift will not only give him the hope to keep fighting, but your donations will help cover his ongoing care.
Help us meet our goal of $6,000 for Bear and pets like him.
