Porcupine Parents Fend Off Attacking Leopard To Protect Their Baby
When you are a loving parent, you do what is necessary to care for your children. You take care of them on a daily basis, making sure that they have good food and a warm place to sleep.
There may also be times when your children require special attention, and you must step up to the plate to defend them. That is not only true in the human family, but it is also true of animals.
This fact was seen in a rather interesting way thanks to a video taken at Kruger National Park. The parents are not humans but, instead, are porcupines.
A leopard nearby would like nothing more than to grab one of the younger porcupines and make a meal of them. Fortunately, the parents are on the case, and they are there to shield their children while the leopard attacks.
When the leopard is nearby, the porcupines make a distress call, but when it got too close, it ended up with some quivers in its leg.
Despite the fact that it must've been painful to have those quivers hanging out of his leg, the leopard is persistent. At one time, he tries to grab hold of an adult, but the porcupines have a defense action that is difficult to beat.
It takes a few minutes, but eventually, the leopard gives up. You can't help but feel like cheering as it makes its escape.

I love to write and it keeps me busy. I've been working online, full time since 1999. When you can't find me at the keyboard, you'll find me getting as much as I can out of life. I enjoy living simply, playing games, visiting the beach, and spending time with my family.
