Owners Asks For His Dog To Be Euthanized But Rescuers Have A Better Idea

Owners Asks For His Dog To Be Euthanized But Rescuers Have A Better Idea

There are times when people may bring their pet in to be put down.

In most cases, this is a loving act provided by pet owners who truly care for their animals.

That wasn't the case, however, for a dog named Pote. It seems as if his owner brought him in to have him put down but it was because they said he refused to eat.

Fortunately, they brought the dog to Sidewalk Specials, a loving pet rescue.

Rather than simply honoring the wishes of that person, they gave him a once-over to see if he had a disease or parasite. They also put out a bowl of food for him and he ate every bite.

Pote was in sad shape when he was first brought to the shelter. After getting some TLC, he is doing quite well and was soon ready to be adopted out to a loving family.

As you can see in the video below, Pote really needed a lot of attention.

After getting that attention, however, he was placed in a loving home where he will have plenty of love and will live out the rest of his life as a happy dog.

James and his blind brother, William, were found abandoned on the street when they were just four weeks old. James was born with one blind eye that started to cause him discomfort. Over time, that eye became increasingly painful and irritated. James is the seeing-eye cat for his brother, making his condition even more urgent to treat.
