Rescuers Save Tiny Street Pup Dying On The Road

Rescuers Save Tiny Street Pup Dying On The Road

A small street puppy was found "so close" to dying on a road in India, but rescuers weren't going to give up on him.

Rescuers with Animal Aid Unlimited gently scooped the puppy off the road and discovered he was suffering from puncture wounds on his neck.

The puppy was in so much pain that he yelped when touched.

The staff with the rescue quickly got the pup some pain medication and began working to stabilize him and clean his wounds.

The rescue shared on YouTube, "For several days he couldn't stand, needed help even to eat, and swallowing was probably painful when, the day after his rescue, his face started to swell."

Despite his hardships and the pain he faced, rescuers saw a ray of hope in the puppy's eyes. They named him Ray and vowed to do all they could to save him.

It took a week, but Ray finally took his first wobbly steps on his own. From there, Ray began walking more regularly and now he's running and playing like a healthy pup!

Rescuers said he was "so close" to dying when they found him, but now he's living his best life!
