Rescue Dog Does "Zoomies" Of Joy When She's Adopted From The Shelter

When an Akbash dog in Texas was found on a road and in serious need of help, Texas-based animal rescuer Joy Bastow was there to help.

Bastow rescues animals through Healing Heart Rehab and shares about the rescues on TikTok (@joybastow).

In one adorable video, Bastow shared that the Akbash dog that had been rescued, Betty, had finally been adopted - and her reaction to going home was priceless!

Bastow shared a video of Betty's adoption zoomies with the caption: "Betty Got ADOPTED!!! She is living on 4 acres and they absolutely love her!!!"

In the video, you can see Betty racing from one end of the kennels to the other, clearly ecstatic to be free and going home at last.

Bastow shared on TikTok that Betty was "found in horrible shape" on the road. The dog was injured and terrified of people.

At first, it seemed that Betty would have a tough time adjusting to being around people but she proved everyone wrong. After she was rescued, it became apparent that Betty was a true joy!

They said on TikTok that she proved to be "dog, cat, kid, and livestock friendly," and a real pleasure to be around.

You can see the video below to see how she was rescued:

It's unclear how Betty ended up in such a terrible situation to begin with, but we're so happy she's healthy and happy now. Hopefully she has the best life moving forward!
