Baby Raven Forms Sweet Morning Routine With Veterinarian Who Rescued Him
The relationships that can be formed between animals and people are truly special. Forming bonds with pets is one thing, but forming bonds with wild animals is even more unique.
We sometimes see relationships between people and wildlife form in subtle ways, but other times, the relationships can be just like those of conventional pets!
A rescue raven named Walter is a prime example of this.
Walter was rescued as a baby by veterinarian Linnett Lee.
Lee hoped to rehabilitate Walter, but it soon became apparent that he couldn't fly. He didn't stand a chance at surviving on his own without flying, so Lee made the decision to offer Walter an indefinite place in her home.
As Walter grew up under Lee's care, the two formed a really special bond. In fact, Walter even started a sweet morning routine with Lee!
Each morning, Walter wakes up bright and early to sing Lee awake. He can't wait until she wakes up, so he does his part to speed that process along.
According to Bored Panda, Lee said: "He wakes us up every morning at 6:45 a.m. He can sing, but it's horrible."
Walter not only gets along great with Lee, but he's also formed a special bond with Lee's other pets, including her dogs.
The clever bird will hop around outside in the yard while the dogs relax in the sun or play fetch. They may have an unconventional family, but it sure looks like they're happy and belong together!
Lee started a story "highlight" for Walter on her Instagram page. You can check it out here!
